Speak To Think

The Un-Journalling

Method For People That

‘Speak To Think’

Hi I’m Jo, and I am an external processor.

If you are someone that often processes your thoughts and ideas better when you speak them out loud… then maybe you are too!

Speak to Think was created to support this brainstorming process.

I also have ADHD, and for me these two things go hand in hand in my neurodiverse brain that often has a lot of swirly whirly thoughts and ideas that need a way to help them land on the page.

Or maybe you don’t so much relate to the above, but are simply curious to tap into and explore another way to express your thoughts and ideas.

Beyond traditional written journalling or brainstorming, this method helps you use your voice to get the ideas out of your head and onto the page, fast and authentically.

After leaving a career in architecture and design, in 2011 I began a food blog which evolved into the hub of my business. My recipes, writing and photography have since been featured in a number of national and international publications.

In 2014 I qualified as a certified Health Coach and was also awarded a scholarship to train as a life and personal performance coach with The Coaching Academy.

In 2016 I shifted focus away from nutrition to design and coaching for wellbeing based businesses.

In 2020 I was officially diagnosed with ADHD and realised I had unknowingly created so many workarounds that catered to my neurodivergent brain when it came to getting the ‘creative chaos’ out of my head onto the page.

I knew I had something to offer, that combined my design, mindset and coaching expertise with my knowledge of the wellness industry, to create an empowered, heart-centred process that was truly unique.

FAQ’s

✨ I enjoy traditional written journalling, is this training still useful for me?
Even of you don’t consider yourself an ‘external processor’, if you are curious to tap into and explore another way to express your thoughts and ideas through voice recording in a raw and authentic way, you are likely to benefit from this training.

✨ Do I need any special programs or apps to go through this process?
Not really. To transcribe your audio, you will need some form of transcription software - there are lots of free options and many smart phones (such as the Pixel 7 that I have) have this function built in too.

✨I hate the sound of my own voice - do I have to listen back to it?
This process does focus on voice recording and it is useful to listen back as you process and edit, however it is not a necessity. I have had clients successfully work with the transcript alone.

✨ I have tried voice recording in the past but never know what to say - will this work for me?
I can’t guarantee it, but I do share tips to assist with getting into the right headspace as well as prompts that can help find your flow.

✨ What if I purchase then realise the training wasn’t a good fit for me?
I’m pretty sure you’ll learn something new from the training, but if you really don’t feel you have, I'll gladly refund your purchase. Just email me within 1 week of purchase and I’ll refund you in full.

Clients thoughts on the voice brainstorming process…

“I was really sceptical about recording myself because I hate listening to or watching myself. But actually I didn’t have to listen back to myself, this was totally new to me and I will definitely use again in the future. I also felt that the content I produced was more engaging, as it had that natural rhythm to it”. - Liz Burfield - Forest Bathing Facilitator

Using voice to transcript meant that I actually didn’t have to listen to myself – I could just work with the transcript – this was totally new to me and I will definitely use again in the future. The other benefit of working in this way was that at it ‘got me started’ which alone is huge. Even if I end up editing a lot, I have something to work with, rather than a blank page.” - Annie, Holistic Therapist
